2022 – Fitting In, Solo Exhibition at Inked NYC, New York City
Held at Inked NYC from November to December 2022, this solo exhibition featured large-scale ballpoint pen drawings created with simple Bic pens on high-quality paper. “Fitting In” explored Shani’s experience moving from Israel to New York, using unproportional human-animal hybrids to reflect the tension between adaptation and individuality in a new environment. Curated by Sam Hajar and Kevin Wilson, the exhibition presented scenes from city life through the lens of identity and displacement.​
